WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - West Warwick police are seeking the public's help in identifying a dog left abandoned outside the city's animal shelter on Jan. 7.
Police said the male English Bulldog was tied up outside the gate, and left without food or water for several hours.
He is a senior dog, visually impaired, and showed signs of neglect.
Police are now hoping surveillance video, which captured the suspect's vehicle, will help lead them to the person responsible.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a late model white Volkswagen Jetta with roof racks.
Anyone with information should contact West Warwick Police at (401) 827-9044.
