(WWLP) - I want you to know I'm disgusted with Adam Sandler's new comedy "That's My Boy". Since when is incest funny? Sandler being seduced by a teacher as a boy is tasteless beyond belief and not the least bit amusing.
Adam Sandler has really gone and done it this time. And the timing just couldn't be worse.
You'll want no part of this feeble farce when Daddy Sandler worms his way back into the life of his unwanted son Andy Samberg. Who can't understand why his fiancée Leighton Meester brushes aside his amorous advances and prefers her brother's company instead. But most of all, Samberg's can't hide his resentment of Dandlers free wheeling style of Fatherhood.
Adam Sandler's loser character seems perfectly suited to this objectionable film that just refuses to be funny. "That's My Boy" is an embarrassment from beginning to end. And no matter how many bad Dad situations script strings together, Sandler can't conceal emptiness of this extreme dud.
Sandler's heavy handed humor has nothing to recommend "That's My Boy" going any higher than 1 star. It's an ugly film that's easily among the worst of the year.
