(WWLP) - As long as the CIA continues compromising its loyal secret agents, we'll always have "The Bourne Legacy". Jeremy Renner steps into the starring role in the high complex spy thriller.

The agency's hard boiled spy master, Edward Norton, sets Renner straight that they're not working for some humanitarian agency; that what they do is morally indefensible and absolutely necessary. When art imitated life with a lunatic committing mass murder, "The Bourne Legacy" becomes more chilling than it's got a right to be.

Renner's on the run with CIA Scientist Rachel Weisz, who's not only athletic, but she's a superb actress. Between daredevil stunts like the wildest motorcycle chase ever filmed in Manila, they'll try to unravel the CIA's latest directly tricks putting them in jeopardy.

"The Bourne Legacy" continues the tradition of the long running series, by seeing to it that agents never live long enough to enjoy the company's package of long term benefits.

The plotting is intricate and the atmosphere tense. Fans of the Bourne series will have no complaints, and "The Bourne Legacy" will even gain a few converts. This is a top grade spy thriller that grips you with 3 stars. I think Jeremy Renner might even survive a sequel or two.
