Starring: Cameron Diaz, Frank Langella, James Marsden

I'm all excited about "The Box," what do you do when a mysterious stranger offers you a million dollars with terrifying strings attached? If you love a good thriller, "The Box" makes you an offer that's tough to refuse.

Cameron Diaz can't believe the deal that Frank Langella's just proposed. Here's the deal, press the button on the box for the million dollar jackpot, but someone's got to die.

Marsden agonizes over the morality of which way to go. This dark baffler with its surreal overtones makes for a gripping thriller. Marsden's curiosity leads him to some frightening conclusions. It seems the sinister gift giver with the disfigured face has done this before.

The captivating story is intensely suspenseful if you gloss over the occasional lapses in logic. Langella's his marvelous self as usual, trying to give the unlikely events a realistic tone.

"The Box" pushes all the right buttons for a perfectly thrilling 3 stars. This powerful film assures us that sometimes, even for a million dollars, it's just not worth the aggravation.
