ORLANDO, Fla. (WESH) - An Orlando family left homeless when their rental home was struck by a garbage truck can't find financial assistance.
The truck that hit the house is owned and operated by Waste Pro, and the family said they want the company to pay up.
The garbage truck crashed into the home and through its kitchen on Saturday.
The renters, Jimmy and Jo Greenhut, said they didn't know what hit them.
"All of a sudden, I hear a big 'bam,' like an earthquake or an airplane came into my kitchen," Jimmy Greenhut said.
"We've been made homeless, and basically, we've had to find a place to live," Jo Greenhut said. "We're losing time from work."
