CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Name: Dominic
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Age: 3 years
Sex: Neutered Male
Color: White Black
Background: Date of Surrender: 2/2013
My name is Dominic. I’m large and in charge! I am one handsome, big ol’ mush of a cat.
I was adopted by a nice couple but within a week the man in the family ended up in the hospital due to allergies. They really loved me so it was sad. They said I am “a GREAT COMPANION!!
I love being brushed and adapted well to my new home. I like to talk a lot at dinner time. I get very excited about my food. And after a nice meal, I enjoy a nap where I can sprawl out.
I’m about 2 ½ feet long when I’m fully stretched out.
I am FIV+. That means that I have immunodeficiency virus. This is a cat only virus and is not transmitted to other species or humans.
In fact, I’m bigger than some small dogs I’ve seen at Dakin. Bring ‘em on!
I should be an indoor only kitty and can live with other FIV+ cats. I enjoy the company of other FIV+ felines in the colony room where I am awaiting adoption.
FIV+ cats can live full lives with routine vet check ups (like you would for all animals) and good quality food.
Come meet me. I’m a hunk of burning love.
