Pet Corner: Nugget (Adopted)

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) -  

Breed: Pekinese

Age: 3 years

Sex: Neutered Male

Color: Fawn

Nugget is a purebred Pekinese. In addition, he is an Albino dog. And while adorable, Nugget’s new family will need to keep a couple of things in mind. First, he will need help with remedial housebreaking. The Dakin training department has charted the map to success for Nugget’s new adoptive family. Second, Nugget had an adverse reaction after his neuter surgery/rabies vaccine. He was very slow to come out of anesthesia. We are unsure as to the reason: It could be his already impaired breathing apparatus, or something related to genetics, or simply a fluke. Nugget’s new family should have an established relationship with a veterinarian who should be apprised of this so that precautions can be taken in the future at the time of vaccination or should he require surgery.

Nugget is adorable and he’s looking for that special family willing to invest some time and attention to giving him that much deserved second chance at life in a loving home.
