CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Name: Charlie
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 1.5 years
Sex: Neutered Male
Color: Brown Tabby
Charlie lived with his previous family for just a little over one month. He was found as a stray. However, the home in which he lived also lived a big dog. Charlie was really frightened of him. He was also unsure of the resident cat.
In addition, Charlie is declawed. The family who took him in felt this was a dangerous situation for him and asked Dakin to help find Charlie a great home.
Charlie LOVES all people! He quickly made himself a lap cat and was happy to show his affection. He lived with adults and teenagers in a home described as “Grand Central Station”. His best quality said to be that he is very friendly and lovable.
While Dakin (and humane societies in general) don’t advocate declawing, we have a great solution for someone wanting a declawed cat…ADOPT! Animal adoption centers like ours frequently have already declawed felines in need of new homes. Remember…they should always be indoor only!
Update on previous pets

Events and Update
You can adopt Charlie at our Name Your Price adoption event which ends July 31. It’s summer and Dakin has lots of cats just waiting to go home. The best part…adopters get to name their price!
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, medical check up, age appropriate vaccinations and testing, microchip, collar and tag, plus a starter kit of food!
To help ensure that every adoptable cat finds a loving home, Dakin will waive the adoption fee of $95 for cats six months and older.
A donation is appreciated. How much? You name it!
Dakin hopes that adopters will consider at least a minimum donation of $10 to help defray costs to the organization and to further in our efforts to help homeless animals find loving homes.
