I am a gentle giant about 60 lbs. I am very sweet and I love being pet.  If you are standing I will lean right into you.  If you are sitting, do not mind if I stand right on top of you to get as much love as I can.  I do get very excited with toys and will run after them and may jump a little.

I am curious and like to explore, this includes your counter tops.  I’ll be happy to work on improving that.  I am crate trained. I have had a tough life so far:  In Texas, I was picked up by animal control living life as a stray with puppies in tow.  I’ve been through heartworm treatment.  I was adopted into a wonderful home in Texas but my person had to give me up due to severe allergies.  He said that I was “his best friend”.

I’ve made the journey to the Northeast where my chances of finding a loving home were better than in the overpopulated South.  I am ready to find my new home that will keep me safe and love me.  I hope the hard times will soon be over.  The staff at Dakin believes I will be good with other dogs (I’m very polite with the dogs I’ve met here) and will do well in a home with any age children.  I’d like to meet the whole family before going home.
