I'm a young, high energy pup who will need an active family with the time for lots of training. I can be initially shy meeting new folks and sometimes need a little time to warm up.

Once I'm comfortable, I'll be quite wiggly and lovable. Puppies can be a lot of work. I'll need to learn about crate and housetraining. I will also need help building up my confidence around new people. I'd be best off in a family with older, mature children due to some of my behavioral challenges which include my nervousness meeting strangers and some guarding of my treasures including food and bones.

I’ve opened up a lot and come a long way since I’ve been at Dakin. In the right home and training, I’ll be a great little guy. Dakin offers discounts on training classes to adopters too. That’s great news: we can bond and learn together in class!

Events and Update

Through the end of October, all Dakin adult cats (six months and older) are part of a special NAME YOUR OWN PRICE adoption event. That’s right! October may officially be Adopt-a-Dog month but Dakin cats want to go home too. And the best part about adopting a cat right now…adopters get to name their price!

Dakin will waive the adoption fee of $95 for cats six months and older through the end of the month. A donation is appreciated. How much? You name it!

All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, medical check up, age appropriate vaccinations and testing, microchip, collar and tag, plus a starter kit of food!
