ENFIELD, Conn. (Mass Appeal) - 2 local moms who love giving back and helping those in need have formed a charity of their own, 2 Moms on a Mission. Kari Monteforte shared more about their latest fundraising effort.

About 2 Moms on a Mission:

Our "mission" is to fundraise for various charities and local families in need. As moms of young children, we know how precious and unpredictable life can be. After working together to bring back the "Beautiful Baby Contest" at the Enfield Square in 2012 (in honor of the March of Dimes), we were inundated with stories of local families in need of some sort of fundraising. In addition, several people with strong ties to various charities (MS Society, Alzheimer's Association, etc.) approached us looking for help as well. Both Kari and Lauren love organizing events and giving back to those in need, so with that, 2Moms on a Mission was created. It is our hope, that while fundraising for these charities/families, we can also help support local business; many of whom are working moms themselves. 2Moms is always looking for charities, families in need, organizations, etc. that are looking for help. Let us know and we will do our best to book one of our month's events on their behalf!

Mission Statement: 2MOMS on a Mission is committed to aiding individuals, families and organizations through the use of a multitude of charities as its vessel; in turn, said acts will foster a stronger sense of community and selflessness, as well as, empowering those in need. 2MOMS strongly believes in supporting the small business community and work-at-home-moms, and will call on the generosity of these individuals and groups to prove that small acts, bound together, can offer the support and safety needed for a glimmer of HOPE in other's times of darkness.
