CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - It's library lovers month and today we're going to check out everything the Chicopee Library has to offer, from books to DVD's to computer labs, there's something for everyone.
We met up with Anne Gancarz, community services librarian, who told us how the library is keeping up with new technology. "We are constantly keeping up with technology and we are quite proud of how advanced and up to date our computers are. We have an active and very supportive friends of the library who supply us with computer and different software. We're also always applying for grants that let us buy software to serve people who are blind and with low vision."
Youth Services Coordinator, Erin Daly showed us their new touch screen computers. "Kids come in here to play games and do their homework and they really respond to be able to touch the screen. They also have the option of the keyboard and mouse and they get used a lot and everyone really gets a lot out of them."
The also have programs for adults!
The library is open Monday through Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday from 9 to 5, Saturday from 9 to 4 and Sunday from Noon until 4. To learn more about the Chicopee Library visit ChicopeePublicLibrary.org .
