WEST BROOKFIELD, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - Central Massachusetts is full of scenic country roads. As you're driving through checking out the fall scenery, why not stop in and check out some of the artists that are around the area too.
Kara Bigda and June Glidden of the Backroads Studio Tour tells us that the Tour will be held on Saturday, October 2 and Sunday, October 3 from 10AM-5PM. It began in 1993 with the local artists wanting to open their studios to the fall foliage people to show them how they live, how they make their living, as well as showing their wares. This year on the Tour there are 17 places that people can stop and check out.
It is a self guided tour, which means you can go along at own pace and there’s no particular order of what to see first, etc. There are maps, brochures, etc. located at different stores, along with their website, where you can go to download the maps. Some of the artists are located near the Quabbin Reservoir and others are located in Ware, New Braintree, West Brookfield, etc.
