Underground Railroad: Elijah Burt House in East Longmeadow

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - February is Black History Month and western mass has it's share of history when it comes to black history.

The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses used by slaves to escape to free states with the aid of abolitionists.

We stopped by the Elijah Burt House in East Longmeadow to get a look at one of the secret passages from the Underground Railroad.
