SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - The way we feel AND the way we act is greatly affected by the environment which surrounds us. Feng shui shows us how our spaces can be designed and re-arranged in order to provide us the right balance and harmony, something we could all use in our lives!

Jen Heilman, owner of Clesson Brook Designs in Shelburne, explains how feng shui can be used, especially in trying to rid ourselves of clutter. Jen suggests getting rid of clutter starts with disposing of anything that’s not used on a daily basis, throwing our anything that isn’t cherished or loved, eliminating anything that creates sad feels, throwing out broken objects and/or appliances, as well as any unfinished projects, or anything that creates sad feelings, etc.

Jen states are by eliminating clutter we are inviting new opportunities. By removing clutter from our home and/or office we are opening up pathways and allowing new things to come into our lives.

Sometimes people think they have to have an Asian or Zen theme house in order to incorporate Feng Shui! Feng Shui isn't about style - it's about creating a supportive and balanced environment in which the inhabitants can live with less stress and more peace.

Our home is a direct reflection of us, and we are a direct reflection of our home. Once we understand that we can use our homes to improve our lives. It's no longer about keeping the house clean, which is a chore, it's now about keeping our lives managed, opening up new possibilities, and eliminating or at least managing stress. It's about honoring and respecting ourselves and our families enough to want a better, easier life.

Jen says that we all deserve a beautiful home to live in, and that's what she helps her clients to achieve. In these difficult financial times, she offers positive change without the financial burden of completely redoing your home. She uses what you have and makes suggestions on how to better use your space in order to create a tranquil living environment.
