CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - Meet Mass Appeal's pet of the week!

  • Name: Hannah
  • Breed: Shepherd mix
  • Age: 2 years old
  • Sex: Spayed Female
  • Color: Yellow

About Me:
I am a pretty special girl.  I am able to maintain a happy, smiling outlook on life despite my very difficult past.  When I arrived at the shelter in Texas in November, I had already lost my leg.  I had puppies who didn’t make it.  But no matter what, I don’t let life get me down…

I love meeting friendly folks of all ages, from young to old. I also enjoy the company of other dogs. My foster mom said I was truly a shining star in her home. She had three other dogs and I was wonderful with them.  Lots of children under the age of 13 coming and going and I was wonderful with them all.  She also said that she would have adopted me in a minute, but it would have prevented her from helping more dogs.

I was nearly housetrained and I walk well on a leash.  In fact, despite only having three legs, I am quite active and enjoy long hikes, running, and playing just like any other dog. The staff at Dakin thinks that the family who adopts me is one very lucky family. I'm just an all around super dog! While sad to see me go, my foster mom also wanted to tell my new adoptive family to know that I am “a WONDERFUL dog with so much LOVE to give”.
