CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - The Children's Tumor Foundation raises funds to support research to find effective treatments and one day a cure for Neurofibromatosis.
John Heropoulos, Vice President of the Children's Tumor Foundation, shared more about the foundation. And local family Anita, Larry and Celia LaBarbera shared their story.

What is Neurofibromatosis?
Neurofibromatosis encompasses a set of distinct genetic disorders that causes tumors to grow along various types of nerves. NF can also affect the development of non-nervous tissues such as bones and skin. Neurofibromatosis causes tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body.
