CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - Losing weight can be difficult, but taking a supplement can help enhance your weight loss efforts. 22News Registered Dietitian Nancy Dell who talked about some supplements that might help us take off the pounds.
Green Tea Extract or Drink Green Tea (7 cups a day) - Drinking green tea will help you lose more fat. The compound in green tea, called EGCG, helps increase fat burning, especially when you're exercising. If you add lemon to your green tea you will absorb 5 times more EGCG.
Fish Oil - People who exercise and take fish oil lose more weight than people exercise and who don't take fish oil. You could also eat fish, but the recommendation is to eat fish 5 times a week.
Vitamin C - If you have more Vitamin C in your bloodstream it helps you burn more fat. You can also eat an orange or strawberries if you don't want to take a supplement.
Green Coffee Bean Extract - A 22 week study showed that people taking green coffee bean extract 10% of body weight and about 16% of body fat, it also helped them to control their blood sugar a little bit, it also decreased the absorption of fat from food.
White Bean Extract - When we eat beans we don't digest them all because they are a resistant starch. White bean extract binds some of the carbohydrates in your food, about 25%.
Calcium - If you do not get an adequate of calcium you're going to have better hunger management.
