CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - On Friday we introduced you to Ashley's fill in while she's on maternity leave, Elora Murray. Here's a little bit more about Elora, in her own words.
From Elora:
All of you have just met me and you're probably wondering, "What's the deal behind this bubbly blonde who is now on my TV?" Well let me start from the beginning.
I was born in the south and raised in the West. My southern roots and western up bringing have always been apart of me. So howdy ya'll. Im joking- I've never said that.
My family is a big part of my life. I was lucky enough to be given the greatest parents a girl could ask for; and a little brother who is as goofy as he is kind.
My extended family is a big part of my life as well; and sometimes I think I love them more than they love me.
While on the topic of family, I can not forget to mention my dog Bear- yeah maybe I am a weird dog lady, but that's ok.
Moving on...I have always been energetic. In fact, in junior high I almost didn't make cheerleading because I was toooo peppy. True story.
To get rid of some of that energy I started dancing early on. I could not get enough of it; and danced through high school and into college.
After I graduated from high school, I attended Brigham Young University. While at the "Y" I worked at our news station and decided that's what I wanted to do with my future. Later, I was offered a job as a reporter and host for on a campus show which got me into reporting on lifestyle, and you know, the fun stuff.
Since I started my broadcast career I have been able to work in New York, London, LA and Salt Lake City. Some of my favorite moments were working at the Tony Awards and helping at the Wimbledon Championship.
Along my broadcast journey I met a boy and got married. He decided to go to dental school out here in Mass...And now here I am! I am so excited to be part of Mass Appeal even if it is just for a short while.
