HADLEY, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - You could dip your tortilla chips in salsa, or you could really spice it up with some homemade pico de gallo made with farm fresh ingredients!

Caroline Pam, co-owner of the Kitchen Garden showed us how to kick our boring salsas up a notch!

CHILIFEST!
Sunday, September 16th
Noon - 5:00PM

Kitchen Garden's Hadley Farm
81 Rocky Hill Road

Pico de Gallo

Ingredients:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 sweet red onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Hot chilies, to taste
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 Tbsp sugar, optional
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar, optional

Directions:

  1. Chop everything to a fine dice and toss with the liquids.
  2. Allow to sit for 1/2 hour to meld the flavors.
  3. Eat with tortilla chips or quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, etc.
