LEE,Mass. (Mass Appeal) - It's the perfect recipe to make during the holiday season! Klara Sotonova is the owner of Klara's Gourmet Cookies shared her Great Grandmother's recipe for Double Chocolate Shortbread Cookies.

Double Chocolate Shortbread

Ingredients

1 Cup (2 sticks) Unsalted Butter Softened to Room Temp
½ Cup Cocoa Powder
1 cup Confectioners Sugar
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
2 Egg Yolks

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a medium bowl, cream butter, yolks and sugar. Add flour, cocoa powder and chips and blend well. Scoop finished dough with a small cookie scoop (1/2 ounce size) and arrange on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Place a second cookie sheet on top of the arranged dough scoops and press down gently to flatten slightly.
Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven. At the end of first 10 minutes rotate the pan(s) and bake an additional 10 minutes
