CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - No baby shower would be complete without some adorable baby size desserts! Liz Corbett, The Party Hostess Diva, showed us how to make some cute and delicious mini treats!
Baby Shower Themed Mini Cupcakes
Ingredients:
One box cake mix your choice of flavor, plus ingredients to make it
One container of White frosting (or home-made buttercream)
1 package of liquid food color (primary colors)
1 package Teddy Grahams cookies
1 package (bag) of white lifesavers candies
1 package of small jellybeans (the smallest you can find-usually name brand)
Pastel or printed mini cupcake papers of your choice
Directions:
Bake mini cupcakes, in the cupcake papers, according to package directions. You will need 2 miniature cupcake tins or if using foil papers, you may place 48 on a cookie sheet and fill.
Tint about 2/3 of the frosting to desired color with liquid food color (only a drop or two at a time) and frost the tops of the mini cupcakes.
Place Teddy Grahams on top of 24 of the cupcakes.
Next pick out jelly beans of your choice (yellow and pink are best)) for the part of the edible pacifier candy topper, and set aside. Line up 24 sets of 2, of lifesavers. "glue" one jelly bean to the hole in the lifesaver candy with a tiny bit of white frosting. Set it flat to dry.
When they are dry, "glue" the 2nd lifesaver to the opposite side, perpendicular, so it resembles the pacifier handle. When these are dry, gently place them sideways on the tops of the remaining cupcakes.
