8 brothers who fought for their country

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - When their country needed them most, eight brothers from Chicopee proudly answered the call to service.

Seven sons from the Hamels family served in the military during World War II and the eighth brother waited for his turn to fight in the Korea.

22News Anchor Rich Tettemer interviewed two of the surviving brothers, Raymond and Roland Hamels, as part of our Memorial Day observance.
