SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The city of Springfield paid tribute to the Asian-American community at City Hall.
Mayor Domenic Sarno proclaimed Friday, May 22 as ASIAN-AMERICAN DAY in Springfield.
Many immigrants left their home countries under terrible conditions to gain freedom in the United States.
Asian residents are proud of their achievements after coming to America.
They have worked hard to assimilate by creating educational programs and business initiatives to involved Asians in the community.
