WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Police have found the car used in this morning's bank robbery at
People's Bank on East Main Street in Westfield.
Detective Kevin Swords told 22news that police found the
gold Chrysler Sebring Convertible about a half mile away from the
bank.
Swords told 22news the car was reported stolen from Granby
Connecticut on July 4th.
Westfield Police are searching for the suspect, after the
People’s Bank on East Main Street was robbed late Tuesday
morning.
According to a news release from Westfield Police, a man walked in and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was shown.
The teller handed over the money and the suspect took off in a gold Chrysler Sebring convertible with Connecticut license plate number 684TCV.
Police describe the suspect in his 30’s with medium to dark skinned, possibly Hispanic, about 5’9” and 180 lbs. He was wearing a Patriots championship hat, a zip-up jacket, a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
