Stocks fall from a 13 month high

(WWLP) - The blue chips dipped for the first time this trading week, falling from a 13 month high. The Dow and NASDAQ each lost eleven points.

The market slipped on word that new home construction is dropping off. New numbers show home building has hit a six month low. Housing starts fell 11% in October, much more than expected.

AAA is predicting a one-point four percent increase in Thanksgiving travel this year. But the auto club says fewer people will travel by air because of budget concerns, reduced airline capacity and added charges.

American Airlines is hitting some turbulence as it tries to hang on to Japan Airlines.

Delta is making a billion dollar pitch to lure the debt ridden airline from American's partner Oneworld Alliance.

American's CEO says the company wants to keep its partnership Japan airlines, and fuel the carrier's recovery.
