SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - New Leadership Charter School students will begin the high school selection process next month.

Springfield School Department Spokeswoman Azell Cavaan told the 22News I-Team the district will be sending letters home to New Leadership parents.

Cavaan said the high school choice process will start for the students in February, although a specific day hasn't been scheduled yet.

She said it will be an online ballot process.

At that time, students will select the school they'd like to attend.

From there, they will either be accepted or waitlisted.

Elementary school students will attend the school in their district.

Students and parents found out last week the school will close at the end of this school year.
