MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) - The town of Monson does itself proud this weekend with an event that has people coming to the Eastern Hampden county town from all over Western Massachusetts.
The annual holiday craft fair traditionally falls on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and this weekend marks the fair's 30th anniversary.
Native artisans find a ready market for their creativity especially at this time of year.
Shoppers from out of town say they wouldn't miss this holiday craft fair, "I come every year, I can't remember how many years I've been coming here. They have very unique gifts for yourself and other people, You look for the same vendors every year, you tend to buy from the same ones" said Debbie Dasilva of Ludlow.
The event continues through Sunday at the Monson Memorial Hall and the nearby Methodist and Universalist churches.
The Monson arts council along with several other non-profit groups depend on the holiday craft fair to keep them going throughout the year.
