MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) - A wrong-way driver crashed head-on with another car on Route 15 (the Wilbur Cross Parkway) in Meriden, leaving both motorists dead and two others injured.

State Police say Michael Heeks of Mansfield was driving north in the southbound lane early Wednesday morning. The 22-year-old Heeks struck a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Patrick Cimato of Lisbon Falls, Maine.

Both drivers were killed.

Cimato was with 47-year-old Nicholas Cimato of New York and 30-year-old Ashley Robinson of Brooklyn, N.Y. Both were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The Wilbur Cross Parkway was closed on the southbound side for part of Wednesday morning, but re-opened in time for most morning commuters.
