NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police say a man sitting on his front porch in New Haven has been shot several times in the face and elsewhere by a group of assailants who fled the scene.
Witnesses tell police there was a confrontation between Darrell Moye and a group of up to five people before one of the men pulled a gun and shot the 29-year-old Friday night.
Emergency workers treated Moye at the scene before rushing him to Yale-New Haven Hospital in critical condition. He was upgraded to stable condition early Saturday.
As police were about half hour into their investigation, a woman drove up to them and said she had been shot in the chest. The incident occurred in Hamden, at Goodrich Street and Shelton Avenue.
No one has been arrested.
