HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police say they have arrested 15 people in a drug investigation that also seized more than 6,000 bags of heroin.

Police said Friday the action by local, state and federal agencies also seized more than $7,000 in currency.

Police said they executed search and seizure warrants at two Main Street addresses in Hartford after getting citizen complaints about alleged drug activity.

People from Manchester, Windsor, New Britain, Enfield, Hartford and East Hartford were arrested on drug possession charges.

Two Hartford men were arrested on charges of possession, possession with intent to distribute, and selling narcotics.

Some of the charges involved drug possession or sale within 1,500 feet of a school.
