MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (AP) - A 700-pound moose that was on the loose in Middlebury, Conn. has
been moved to a new home.
The Department of Environmental Protection on Friday
tranquilized the two-year-old male, spotted in several towns in
recent days, after it began to approach I-84, a major interstate.
Officials say the animal will be relocated to a suitable
location in the rural Barkhamsted area.
The moose is apparently the same one seen last week in
Winsted, Thomaston and Watertown.
It may also be the same moose spotted in Waterbury on
Tuesday.
