Twenty-seven-year-old Geraldo Luciano of Windsor is charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving and making an improper U-turn. He's to be arraigned March 20 at Hartford Superior Court.

Police say Luciano hit three pedestrians on Trumbull Street, sped away, got into another accident and fled again before being arrested on Interstate 91 near the Hartford-Windsor line. Authorities say the pedestrians were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Four women jumped from Luciano's car after the second accident. Three of them were treated for minor injuries.

No one answered a phone listing for Luciano Monday.
