ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) - Enfield police are looking for a teenager who has been missing since Monday night.
Lt. Larry Curtis of the Enfield Police Department told 22News that a "Silver Alert" has been issued for 17 year-old Brashawn Russell, who was reported missing after leaving her foster parent’s home on Belmont Avenue in Enfield around 5:00 P.M.
She had said that she had been going to the Enfield Square Mall.
Curtis says that one of Russell’s teachers saw her at Hartford’s First Night celebrations Monday night, and she appeared to be well. The teacher did not know that Russell was missing at the time, however.
She is described as a black woman with black hair and brown eyes. She is about 5’6” tall and weighs about 240 pounds. She may have a scar due to a piercing she had on her lower lip.
Curtis says she had been wearing a black jacket and jeans.
If you have any information, you can call Detective Jensen at the Enfield Police Department at (860) 763-8921.
