WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP/AP) - A problem with the FAA system that collects airlines' flight plans that has caused widespread flight cancellations and delays nationwide, but had minimal impact on Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn. and at Boston's Logan International Airport.
Airport Spokesman John Wallace told 22News there were a few residual delays and only a handful of cancellations Thursday morning.
Logan spokesman Phil Orlandella said it was a similair situation in Boston -- minimal outbound delays with everything quickly returned to normal.
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that it is having a problem processing flight plan information.
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen didn't immediately know how many flights are being affected or when the problem will be resolved.
Air travelers are encouraged to call their airline to check if
their flight plans are still on schedule.
