I-91 re-opened from CT/MA line to Windsor Locks

ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) - State Police in Hartford told 22News that I-91 was closed on both the north and southbound sides from the Massachusetts state line down to Exit 40 in Windsor Locks and has now re-opened.
The road closure was due to icy and dangerous conditions on the road following this morning’s wintry weather. Connecticut DOT crews had to be sent-out to sand the roads.
The incident caused traffic backups well into Massachusetts, with all traffic having been diverted off Exit 49 in Enfield.
