STONINGTON, Conn. (WWLP-WTNH) - An AMBER alert issued for a 9 year-old girl in southeastern Connecticut has been called-off, and a registered sex offender has been arrested.
Connecticut State Police told our sister station WTNH-TV that Daisha Rhodes of Stonington was found safely in the parking lot of a Stop & Shop in nearby Richmond, Rhode Island.
Rhodes had disappeared around 7:00 Monday night, and was last seen with registered sex offender Daniel Candales of Lisbon, Connecticut. Rhode Island police found the two together and arrested Candales.
He had been convicted of third-degree sexual assault back in 1998.
