BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for causing a traffic accident on Interstate 95 that killed a Rhode Island truck driver.

The Connecticut Post reports 36-year-old Allen Boulware pleaded guilty Monday to evading responsibility and making a false statement.

Police say he fled the scene of the March 2010 accident on the Moses Wheeler Bridge in Stratford.

Fifty-three-year-old David Rapoport of Warwick, R.I., died after being ejected from the tractor trailer he was driving when it was struck by a car.

Boulware was linked to that car by a cell phone that was found inside.
