BRIDGEPORT, CT (AP) - A juvenile has been arrested after a shooting on what police say was a crowded Bridgeport street following a parade.

Police tell the Connecticut Post ,  the victim's injuries were not life threatening.

They say the shooting occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday,  at the intersection of Park and University avenues, along the route of the Puerto Rican Parade of Fairfield County, which was held earlier in the day.

The name of the suspect has not been released because of his age. Police also have not released the name of the victim, who was hospitalized following the shooting.
