NEWTOWN, Conn. (WWLP) - Newtown will start removing thousands of flower arrangements, teddy bears, signs and other memorials next week.
That's according to the Newtown bee newspaper.
Town officials notified residents that public works crews will start picking up memorial items the day after Christmas.
The trinkets will be ground up and processed into soil that will be saved.
Newtown first selectman Patricia llodra said the soil will serve in the foundation of a future permanent memorial.
