WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) - All passengers arrived safely after a Bradley-bound flight struck a flock of birds Wednesday afternoon.

Bradley spokesperson John Wallace told 22News that Southwest Airlines Flight 2102 was about 25 miles south of the airport when people on board the aircraft heard a loud bang.

Despite the bird strike, the flight, which left for Bradley from Tampa, arrived in Connecticut on its scheduled arrival time of 2:10 P.M.

Wallace said that emergency crews were standing by on the ground in case there was a problem, but the plane was able to taxi to the gate on its own power.
