PD: Restaurant owner busted for reckless endangerment

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) - A Southington restaurant owner was arrested for reckless endangerment Thursday.
According to police, the arrest stemmed from an inspection that took place on October 13th at Machiavelli's, located at 75 Center St.
The inspection was conducted by the Southington Police Department, Southington Fire Department, and the State of CT Liquor Control Commission.
Police said several liquor violations were discovered, as well as several fire code violations.
During the inspection, the restaurant was also found to be overcrowded.
Police said the rear exit door was found to be padlocked shut with a sliding bolt locking device and a padlock. The locked door was the only exit in the rear of the building in the event of an emergency.
The owner of Machiavelli's, Spendi Bomova, was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment.
Bomova was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Court on January 28th.
