SOMERS, Conn. (WWLP) - Connecticut State Police need your help to find a bank robbery suspect who may have escaped to Massachusetts.

Lt. Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police told 22News that the Webster Bank branch on Main Street in Somers was robbed just after 11:00 Saturday morning.

The suspect, who is described as a white man in his early 20’s, ran into the bank and jumped over the counter, demanding money from the tellers. Though he didn’t show or imply that he had a weapon, he managed to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was seen getting into a dark colored sedan at a nearby church parking lot and driving away north down Battle Street.

During the robbery, he was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a white and blue bandanna over his face, sunglasses, blue jeans, and black gloves with white stripes.

The Connecticut Bankers’ Reward Association is offering a $2,000 reward for the arrest of the suspect. If you have any information, you are asked to call Connecticut State Police at (860) 896-3200.
