CHAPLIN, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut state police say a man and woman accused of dragging with their car a state trooper and a Plainfield officer have been arrested on charges of assault, interfering with an officer and reckless endangerment.

Police say Mark Mills and Cara Cote were arrested Monday behind a house in Chaplin. No details were immediately available. Each is being held on $500,000 bond.

The incident allegedly occurred Friday evening after a trooper in Canterbury stopped a car in which the 22-year-old Mills was riding. Police determined that Mills had two arrest warrants for failing to appear in court.

Police say Mills resisted police removing him from the car and tried to pull the officers in while ordering Cotes, who was driving, to go.

It was not known Monday if they are represented by a lawyer.
