CHESHIRE, Conn. (AP) - Police have been asked to patrol Cheshire High School following a cryptic threat found in a bathroom.

The scribbled message says students will die at the school on Tuesday. School Principal Jeff Solan says the message cited the ancient Mayans as the source of the threat.

He emailed families on Monday night to explain the threat and the precautions being taken.
