Water-related death at Bluff Point

GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) - A body was found inside Bluff Point State Park and the person has been pronounced dead, police say.

Lt Paul Vance says that State Police, local police and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) are investigating the incident.

The exact cause of death has not been released, but Vance says that water was involved.

Police say they responded to the scene around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
