THOMPSON, Conn. (AP) - Two men, including one from Massachusetts, have been charged with stealing thousands of gallons of diesel fuel from a northeastern Connecticut company.
State police say the arrests were made Wednesday after a long investigation into the disappearance of the home heating fuel from a company based in Thompson.
State police say 47-year-old Ricky Houghton of Dudley, Mass., and 25-year-old Justin Walas of Plainfield stole fuel worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Investigators say the two men sold the fuel for $2.00 a gallon at the time that most people were paying $4.00 or more a gallon.
Both men have been released after posting bond and more arrests are expected.
