KILLINGLY, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut state police are investigating the fatal shooting of an 81-year-old woman in her Killingly home.
The body of Jacqueline Kelley was found in her home on Cranberry Bog Road Monday when police were called to the home on a report of a diabetic emergency.
Troopers found the woman's husband, 81-year-old Thomas Kelley, suffering from a medical condition. He was taken to the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester and is reported in serious condition.
State police searched the apartment and found the body of the woman. An autopsy Tuesday determined she had died from a gunshot wound.
The investigation is continuing and state police say nobody else was involved in the incident.
