SALEM, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Salem on Thursday morning.
Witnesses told police the man entered Chelsea Groton Bank at Salem 4-Corners, around 9:55 AM, and implied he had weapon. The suspect demanded money, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured.
Police say the suspect is a white male between 50 to 60-years-old. He is approximately 5'3" tall and has a light colored mustache. He was also wearing blue jeans, a blue denim jacket with a brown collar, white sneakers, a tan baseball cap and grey gloves during the robbery.
Police searched the area with the State Police K-9 teams, manpower and the State Police aviation unit.
