GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Police in Greenfield need your help to find a suspected serial bank robber.

Greenfield Police Detective Lt. Dan McCarthy told 22News that they are looking for 38 year-old Richard C. May, who is suspected of committing three robberies in the last four weeks.

McCarthy says that May is suspected of robbing the Federal Street branch of Greenfield Cooperative Bank on Wednesday , and the TD Bank on Main Street on February 17 and March 1 . In all three robberies, a black semi-automatic pistol was used, and the suspect was masked.

May has plugs in both ears, and tattoos on his right arm. He was last seen wearing gray basketball shorts, Nike sneakers, and a black shirt with “Enchanted” written on it. He may have been dropped off in Holyoke following the last robbery, and has connections to Worcester and Boston.

McCarthy says May has a lengthy criminal record and should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you have any information, please call Detective Lieutenant Daniel McCarthy or Detective Todd Clark at (413) 773-5411 x1305/x1306, the Massachusetts State Police, or your local police department.
